Homework Club is an after school program for school aged students. In operation for 18 months now, the club offers learning assistance every Monday and Wednesday, 4-5:30pm. With a dedicated team over 20 volunteers. for students to thrive academically.
Homework club aims to support school aged students to improve learner confidence, motivation and outcomes. It also aims to build independent learning capacities and support connection to the Australian Somali community.
Homework club provides a learning environment opportunity to improve learning outcomes in literacy, numeracy, English and Mathematics. It also provides an opportunity for students to improve their skills and knowledge around time management, organisation, communication, critical and higher order thinking and problem solving.
