Pamela Burley
Pamela is Co-Managing Director at Himilo. She has extensive experience working with disadvantaged and marginalised communities to improve long term social outcomes. At Himilo, Pamela has been responsible for designing and delivering communtiy capacity building activities that improve social justice, educational and economic opportunities and success since 2017.
Pamela has led the development of business, strategy and partnerships to successfully attract support from government, corporate and philanthropic sectors to deliver projects for social and economic benefit. Pamela has effectively managed teams of professional and volunteer staff and has been ultimately responsible for ensuring all areas of business run effectively.
Pamela was awarded the La Trobe University’s Vice-Chancellor’s Award in 2017 in recognition of outstanding contribution to the University’s first major national research project into care leavers and higher education. She has presented at the Equity Practitioners in Higher Education Australasia Conference held at Queensland’s Griffith University on unique project delivery in Out of Home Care policy and outreach and higher education participation strategies for low socioeconomic communities. Pamela strives to bring together adversity and challenge with intelligent design, adaptability and perseverance for business and community success and sustainability.
Pamela has a Bachelor of Arts/Secondary Teaching from Deakin University.
