Pamela is the Schools and Community Engagement Project Manager at Himilo Community Connect. Before joining the Himilo Team in 2017, Pamela has worked as a teacher and project manager across of range of communities to build capacity and aspirations for educational opportunity and success.
Pamela has over 12 years’ experience in the education sector, beginning her work in individual education support, then as a secondary school teacher, Literacy and Welfare Coordinator, before joining La Trobe University in 2015 as a Project Officer for the Schools Partnership Program. After leading the development of the partnership between Himilo Community Connect and La Trobe University in 2016 – 2017, Pamela took the opportunity to join the Himilo team and dedicate herself to the continued development and success of the project.
At Himilo Community Connect, Pamela oversees the development and activities of the Himilo Schools Program, Himilo Homework Club Program, Himilo Women’s Health and Wellbeing, Himilo Play Group and Himilo Active. She is passionate about early learning, education and supporting families to thrive and succeed.
